Indoor Track and field

Indoor track and field does just about the same thing as originally track and filed and plays the same exact events and time limits dealing with the event that being played at the time. Track and field events are divided into three broad of categories: which are track events, and combined events. the majority of athletes tend to specialize in just one event within the aim of perfecting their performances which and within one another.  Track and field events all involve some type of running on the track over a specified distances and sometimes time limit. There are also relay races in which teams of athletes run and pass on a baton to their team member and at the end of certain distance run the last person takes it to the finish line. That particular race always allows four members from each team to  run an certain amount of distance and too pass the Baton as fast as they can so that the next person can lead it on as soon as possible.

All in one there are two types of field events in indoor track and they are jumps , and throws. in jumping competitions, athletes are judged on either the length or the height of their jumps. The performance of jumping events for distance are measured from a board or marker, and any athlete overstepping this mark is judged to have fouled. In the jumps for height, an athlete must clear his or her body over a crossbar without knocking the bar off the supporting standards. The majority of jumping events are unaided, although athletes propel themselves vertically with purpose built sticks in the pole vault. The throwing events involve hurling an implement from an particular set of view , while the athletes are being judged on their distance well running and competing with another member from another team.

Indoor track is not just like outdoor track and field because you are under an bubble or an roof. Not only are the track and field events different but the ones that are different from one another those are contested outdoors, but these differences make indoor track attractive and field athletes for a number of reasons. One differences between them is that indoor track in the inside is much different from the one on the outside. The most obvious differences between them are the size of them both, one is much largest then the other one. It is shorter indoor because its just an standard indoor track which is only 200 meters around, or exactly half of an size of an standard outdoor track but unlike outdoor tracks, indoor tracks vary in length depending on the floor space available.

The smallest indoor track in the untied states is located in Madison square garden which is the indoor National championships and to the Millrose Games, the oldest invitational indoor track and field meet in America is only 160 yards around. The newest ones around are venues which are an large enough to accommodate oversized indoor track as long as 300 meter. There is an standard indoor track is 200 meters around, or exactly half the size of a standard outdoor track, but unlike outdoor tracks vary in length depending on the floor space available. Many tracks are smaller then one another. The newer venues are large enough to accommodate oversized indoor tracks as long as 300 meters.

Indoor track also has lesser lanes open then the originally outdoor, because it is lesser people on the team dealing with indoor track. Fewer running lanes open and the of lanes that are opened are 6 as total instead of 8 / 9 lanes typical lanes as outdoor. There are differences between indoor and outdoor track is that the better indoor tracks will have banked turns. They are bowl shaped rather than flat on the turns. In the same way that you car would slide to the outside going around corners when you drive if you didn’t slow down as you begin you turn, athletes going at high speeds would experience the  same thing. On flat indoor track with tight turns they either must slow down to negotiate the turns, or be pulled outwards. The banks  help the athletes cope with these centrifugal forces so that they can maintain their speed on the turns.

Due to the smaller track and limited area for field events, the events contested indoors are different from those contested at an outdoor track and field meet.  By reviewing this you can see that indoor and outdoor track and field is exactly the same in many ways just different location or setting dealing with the event or the type of sprinting going on at the time.

Ruuning 50m dash …..

Running the 50 meter dash and an exciting feeling and a wonderful event. 50 meters is basically an sprint event in track and field. It is relatively uncommon non-championship event that is used for indoor track and field. Normally dominated by the best outdoor 100 meters runners. At outdoor athletics competitions it is an distance, at least for senior athletes.  This particular race is also for fast people and is made to use an light sliver medal bar that is passed around and split on between 4 people. When running this race you will receive an break , I say that because everyone runs an short distance and passing the bar leading their partner on.

There are ways that you can improve your running skills dealing with this particular event. In that is to keep practicing over and over again as well as recording your time so that as practices and meets go by you can see your improvement in your meets and time. Be sure to warm up before you sprint, preforming a light five to 10 minute jog in your ordinary running shoes followed by stretching. Change into your track flats or track spikes whatever one best suits you for the time trails, races and sprint workout. As be sure to have an starting person and ending person to help you practice as well as an coach and someone with an firing leading pistol or an voice command as well as time you with an stopwatch. It is also good to have an second coach or just somewhere there to record you so that once practice is done you are able to se your mistakes and improvements.

A good way to remain focus and only focus is too study the field that  you run on and never listen too the foolish.  Always remember to continue driving with your arms. Push off the balls of the feet, keep your elbows bent at a 90 degree angles as they “slice” through the air, and keep your facial muscles relaxed. Allow your body to reach a full vertical stance when you are about 25 or 30 yards into the dash. Then by that point your velocity will have reached 90 percent of its maximum. Once all this is completed through a race your race shall be successful and you should have meet an good standard time. When driving to finish, keeping your eyes focused on the finish line is good too do and not  on who is directly behind you or how close someone may be up on you. Also when almost at the finish line remember to lean forward slightly in the final two or three strides. Your coach or partner could record the time for you to let you know how you have done. Not only that but remember that you must lean towards the finish line but it can allow you allow win faster. In I say that because all you have to do is have part of your near and over the finish line and you have won the race. Although I know it may sound crazy but I have witnessed it with my own eyes and was like what I was right here lol. But seriously it just a fun and silly feeling once its all done.

Running this race is all fun in games with teammates , other team going against one another and mainly seeing which team has the fastest 4 people on there team. It has always  been 4 team out on the field and at least 4 fast runners prepared for the race competing against one another. Striving for the finish lines and trying to see who will make it first to the finish line throughout all four team mates. Everyone out of the four team members going against each at the time will start at one line on the track and before the race is completely over everyone out of the 4 will be in a different location and the other one will be running over that line, taking one for the team. It’s all about having good people who actually cares and won’t think about giving up even if they far behind. As long as you tried is all that matters, doing what best for your team and yourself. We all win some and lose some, from that all you can do is practice better. And I promise you will see a change and so will others. Track is all about having fun and enjoying yourself all a game for friends and sometimes any family. At the end of the day it is all business and an game ! ENJOYYYYYYYYYY……..!!!!!! AFTER ALL

How it feels to take the lead in the last 50m:
OOPSS GOTTA GET GOING !

The feeling you get before the gun is fired at the race ….

A starting pistol or a starter pistol is a handgun, basically a typically a specially designed revolver. It is used so that once it is fires to start the track and field races, as well as competitive swimming races at some meets. And the sound of the gun going off serves as the signal for the athletes to begin an event. Running track is the best feeling ever it allows us too relieve stress and build our confidence out there on the track.  Track and field is a beautiful site and it sets up sharp, well preparing or dealing with any time of race. The shocking part about it is the gun that is used before any race has or is about too began. The gun is used that so everyone out there is able too hear when the race is about to began. It is a painful and loud sound that may get to jump but its all worth it at the end. The gun loud also allows and tell any and everyone when to began running. And is you didn’t know , believe it or not track and field is not the only sport that uses a gun to began an race or meet.

The gun is well prepared and used and no one will get hurt by it all it. Blank shells or caps are used to prevent injury and thus usually a cloud of smoke that appears in the air. Starting pistols may be modified versions of standard pistols incapable offering bullets, most commonly achieved by welding an obstruction into the barrel. When electronic timing is used, a sensors often affixed to the gun. Which sends an electronic signal to the timing system upon firing. For deaf competition or for modern electronic systems, and light may appear instead of sound and gun smoke , that is because they are not able to hear anything at all.

Sometimes there is an issue with dealing and using an starting pistol and I say that because some people get nervous and some are just not feeling the nosey at all. Another issue with the gun Is since the report of the pistol is carried to the competitors at the speed of sound. Which takes about 3 milliseconds to travel one meter, positions nearest the starter hear the report a few seconds before the runners that are lead behind him or her.

There is also an silent pistol that was once used in 2012 games that is connected to speakers behind each athlete competing in a heat ensuring all athletes to hear the pistol simultaneously. Dealing with the silent gun pistol throughout the Olympics everyone knows that every second-or hundred of a second counts due to lag in sound traveling time, runners in the farthest lane have an disadvantage from the beginning of their athletic challenge. The gun gives runners in the closer lanes and distant leg up. Leg up meaning they kind of hears it first and its a possibility that they may be in the lead.  But depending on how fast or focused they are  that’s if they will remain In lead. Track runners are based upon building, learning and staying focused at all times thought out practice, meets and more. This year one time dealing with track Olympics committee is suing an electronic gun that makes no noise at all but is instead weird to speakers directly behind each runner, ensuring all runners hear the starting mark , in order to began the race.

Staying focus is important and comes along good in the long run for you and your teammates. You can take the focus off those elements of the race you can not control , your finishing time, your opponents, the weather. But it will direct them to the outcomes you can control. Visualization is something that is totally different but important as well here today. Visualization yourself executing your race plan, going through your warm-up routine, and even focusing on your breathing. By directly your thoughts to those who are physical and mental aspects you can control. The nervous will dissipate and you will increase your chances of success.

Visualizing during the race, you will visualize is racing is tough, there’s no two ways about it. At  some point on your way to a great race or a new PR you’re going to hurt and you’re going to have self doubts. Letting negative thoughts creep into your mind is one of the easiest. Track and field is an exciting event and chilled one at that.

What would you prefer to drink & eat while dealing with track ?

Throughout track and field there are certain type of drinks that you are supposed to drink to stay fit but not only that. But there certain kinds as well so that  you will not catch an cramp throughout practice or even an event. There is an total of 3 different types of sports drinks, that all contain various levels of fluids, carbohydrates and electrolytes. The three types are isotonic, hypotonic and hypertonic each one of these has fluids and an certain number of carbohydrates inside of them. Hypertonic has the highest level out of them all and hypotonic has the lowest and last but not least Isotonic has 6 to 8% carbohydrate.

Well dealing with track and field you are able to drink water but that would not be the best thing to do over all. Water can cause different type of issues to your body which dealing or doing your meet of track and field. Water can cause bloating which eventually will suppress thirst and also well as drinking.  Water also does not contain any type of carbohydrates or electrolytes at all. And these type of fluids are well needed throughout your time of playing, running and as well as practice.  So it is okay to drink water but that would not be in the best interest because at the end of the day or  even throughout an meet it can and will cause cramping and bloating. And that is not an good site nor feeling because it hurts your body and can go on for a little while. And with that being said I would stay away from the water unless you are taking a light day at work or an event. But running and to much water doe not mix at all , just remember.

Sports drink are basically beverages that are stated purpose and to help athletes replace water , electrolytes  as well as some type of energy after training or even competition. And be sure to exercise before any and every practice or meet even if you are not dealing with an event on that specific day.  Because if you do not it will hurt you at the end of the day or even later that day/ night . And I say that because it is something that your body is use to and exercising is important based off that.

There are plenty of ways to eating smartly dealing and through any situations .  But we are talking about track ways so I will name a couple things that should not occur while eating or about to . . . .

1.) Don’t skip an meal.

2.)Eat snacks as long as they are healthy ones.

3.)Please eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.

4.)Be sure to eat or drink something within 30 minutes after practice, workout or meet .

5.)Try to avoid any sugars , oils and fats in flour.

7.)No fried food , lets try some baked.

8.)Drink up to 8 glasses of water a day, better your self and body daily.

9.)Use an sufficient of proteins for your daily activities.

10.)Last but not least never skip the most important meal of the day breakfast.

While dealing with certain types of foods and drinks you will have to watch out and do what is best for your body . So that you are not unfit and unable to complete whatever that it is that you are suppose to the next day or through out the meet. Eating good is not only for track runners but to the public and everyone else as well. Eating food good will provide us all with a number of benefits , better practices secessions. Also quick recovery, from any last practice or meet. It will basically increase the body’s ability from preventing any type of injuries. And at the end of it all you and any other that have did the correct thing and way or eating and drinking throughout track will feel better as well preform better throughout the event or time that you must complete your event.

Track and field takes a lot of practices and hard work to build your confidences in running and becoming the most intelligent, creative person to go as hard as you do or have done to win your race. Although winning is not what it is all about but mainly as long as you tried and did what you had to do to get by. And just remember if you lose it is okay because there is always another time and you will just have to practice longer & harder to become and go where you want to life. Track and field is all about fun!!
